When spending the lesson recreating and editing Missy Higgins, Everyone's Waiting official music video there was aspects that went well and some that could have been improved upon.
A good thing about our recreation was the timing with the song and the lip synching, this was something our teacher warned us was rather difficult to get correct yet we managed to do this well, and this is something we are optimistic to carry onto our main task. We also achieved a good cross fade that looked slick and professional and this improved the overall quality of the recreation.
However as an improvement, we could have achieved a better depth of field and made the background more blurred so the focus was on the person signing and this is something we will work on for our final music video.
Overall, to improve when it comes to our next piece of filming we will take more time when shooting certain aspects of the video to ensure that the effect we wanted to achieve was shown properly and represented our ability as filmmakers.
